Mission Leadership Council: the last face-to-face meeting at the end of February 2020

We cannot express the love that we have for these leaders in the mission. We feel so blessed to serve together as a Mission Leadership Council. They come to this meeting ready to learn how to help their fellow missionaries. We counsel together, and we all come out edified together.

This was our very last meeting together at the end of February before the isolation notice came. All meetings from now on will be via technology; so, stay tuned for those "screenshots" of the meetings.

At the heart of any training meeting is food. The traditional at all Mission Leadership Council meetings is pizza and a robust salad bar. We attempted to change that tradition once, and it was almost a rebellion. So, pizza it is. Every meeting! Every meeting! Every meeting!

We always gather after lunch to sing to those who prepare the meal for the missionaries.

We are as the army of Helaman..........we are now the Lord's missionaries

For the Mission Leadership Council, Sister Shirley and Sister Davis always prepare the meal and make a very robust salad bar. Of course, brownies and ice cream continue to highlight the meal. Just delicious!

At the conclusion of each Mission Leadership Council, Sister Hammon and I meet with the Sister Training Leaders who are the angels serving our sisters in the mission. These will be leaders, no matter where they land after mission. Just watch!

We are saddened that we will not be meeting with these missionaries face to face for some time. We will continue to "meet" online through video conferencing. We love these young, emerging leaders whose lives will love, lift, lead, inspire, and invite so many other people to do great things in the future.
